AHPI Global Conclave and AWARDS for EXCELLENCE in HEALTHCARE

The AHPI’s second annual conclave on “Sustaining of Healthcare Services for National Well Being” was held at Marriott Convention Centre, Hyderabad on 23-24th Feb 2015. Conclave was attended by more than 500 delegates, which included, Policy Makers, Chairman’s CEOs, Business Heads, Clinicians, Hospital Administrators and Healthcare Management Students. The conclave provided high level discussion on GOVERNANCE/ LEADERSHIP, SUSTAINABILITY, REGULATION, PATIENT SAFETY, SMART & GREEN Hospitals, all under one roof.

The conclave was inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Hon’able Governor during his address covered wide ranging subject of healthcare delivery and stressed on the role of private sector.

The conclave had galaxy of speakers who shared their rich experience with the delegates. The conclave agenda was carefully designed to have ample scope for interaction with delegates. The key speakers among others included, Dr Girdhar Gyani, Dr Devi Shetty, Dr Sahadulla, Dr Alexander Thomas, Dr Suganthi Iyer, Dr Shakti Gupta, Dr Sanjeev Singh, Dr Parag Rindani, Dr Hari Prasad. Mr Vishal Bali delivered valedictory address on ‘Future of Healthcare’

The conclave had encompassed for the first time the unique blend of ‘AHPI Awards for Excellence in Healthcare’ . These are appended in the BOX. The awards were presented to 23 hospitals across country by Hon Governor of AP & Telangana. List of recipient hospitals is appended. MOHFW from Maharashtra and Delhi were presented awards for excellence in ‘Maternal & Child Health Services’:

The aim of the awards was to promote and share the best practices among hospitals. The award categories were unique in many ways. Most of the awards were first of their kind given at any forum and have set new trends.

The AWARDS were finalised through a robust process which included the on-site facility survey by AHPI assessors. The AHPI Award Technical Committee scrutinised the applications along with the technical write up submitted by the hospitals along with the survey report.
